Nothing remotely extreme - we didn't have any other vehicles with us and I don't yet have recovery gear (Maxtrax and/or winch with anchor), so I played it safe.

It had been raining so there were some slippery parts. ATRAC kicked on once or twice, and it's pretty spiffy. I also tried the downhill assist control, which also worked brilliantly. All of my previous 4x4's didn't have the electronic wizardry - this is much different!

Cool - didn't see anything my street enduro M/C or my 6 cylinder Bronco wouldn't love to play in but you had a comfy vehicle and much more quiet I bet than my old beaters.

Ain't it nice to get away and away from people for a while. A few pictures of what you saw would be appreciated. :D

How do you like your tires? I have some of those on my truck and they seem to work well. Little slippery in the snow when in 2wd (to be expected I guess), but rock solid when in 4wd. They seem to handle mountain roads really well, just curious about how they performed in some mud.

They filled up with mud almost immediately, but I didn't have any major problems and they cleaned themselves out just fine once I was moving. The one slippery area I found I got through just fine with a little momentum (where starting from a dead stop at the bottom of a hill wasn't working).

I have a buddy who chews through sidewalls on Duratracs, but his offroading style is to drop the hammer and go. I have a bit more self control than that so I am hoping to be fine. :p
