Yeah, so Saturday night was the big punk rock show out at Glen Helen Blockbuster Paviliion out in Devore, CA. I went and had a blast. The main stage lineup looked like this:

Anyway, if anyone has ever been there then they would know the parking lot is the equivalent to a big dust bowl. So I got there a little late in the afternoon so I ended up parking in one of the outer lots. By the time the show was over I made my way out to the car only to see a HUGE line. Buddy and I decided to wait it out. We're standing around drinking (I was drinking SODA) when I noticed a truck go up the embankment and hop on the freeway. (The lot was right next to the freeway). Then I saw a few more trucks/SUVs. Then I saw cars; Camry, Camaro, Saturn, etc. Buddy and I decided screw this and went over there in the car and went up the embankment and got on the freeway. Total time: 15 min.
Here's the fun part. I have a Honda Accord that's lowered. The embankment itself wasn't a big deal. There was a little spot of soft stuff where I spun the tires but other then that... It was getting onto the shoulder that sucked. I took a soft angle but still hit the exhaust at least 3 times and I scraped up one part of my rear sway bar pretty good. Needless to say, nice sounds to hear your car making.
Best part of the trip home: Some bitch cuts me off going about 20mph slower then I was (50 vs 70). I slam on the brakes and prolly come within an inch of her bumper. Then, she goes back into the lane she started out in b/c she realized that was where she needed to be to get on the proper freeway (10 east instead of 10 west).
So maybe nobody cares, but the guys at the office got a good laugh out of the offroading story. But, I did save myself about a 2 hour wait to get out of the lot.
