Think of it this way, its cheaper than Intel's best, AMD still needs all the support it can get vs Intel, the best is that I sold my AMD 64 3200 system for more than I have into my new 3700 system, that made lots sense too me...

ummm.... WOW.

You need to post some benchies when you get it. Not a single review site I have read has been able to get one of these.

I have a X800 Pro, am only using the stock CPU fan (I hate fan/any noise), I use WD 10K's in all my systems. I don't over clock (at almost never), everything shipped now I see, should get on friday, will post some marks then.

Since I'm on a spending spree, I grabed the 20" Viewsonic (16ms), I know the Dell, but I work at a IT company and can NOT buy Dell etc...

Figure should be a fun match 20.1" LCD HERE

Question: why are you looking for a S939 board right after you buy a top-of-the-line S754 processor?

Never said I was, however of course when the 939 are shipping, I will give them a go as well. There stands a good chance that if the S939 CPU are shipping, there must be some stock of 939 MB somwhere as well...

Monarch has the Asus A8V-somethin' listed with an ETA of June 17th, if that helps.

Really sorry no post before now. Job has gotten so busy and not much play time since this post...

However HERE's a AMD 64 3700 Review (Intel reviewed against a AMD 3700)

I love mine, so fast and QUIET with the stock fan :D (ATI Ruby looks great too with my X800)...

With that much money why didn't you get the 3800+ or FX-53 and Asus k8v 939 board? The FX-53 with the Mach II would go to 2800 or better just with the multiplier. Oh, the dreams, the dreams

There was not even a socket 939 to be found when I bought mine (hence my top message that started this thread, no 939 MB's)

Would not take Asus board MSI myself as well. Very happy with mine, very fast, very stable.

Nothing wrong with going crazy once in awile.:) Hell I buy $2000 in fireworks every year for the kids/4thparty which goes up in smoke in 3 hours. Just so you know it was a poor value and don't make it a habit or recommend it.

But you could have gotten the same results for $270 in a 3200+ oced which everyone is doing...

It saddens me to remember back before I was married, and I could spend 4K on a upercharger or new computer, and noone said anything. Now I have that wife facter. It kills me that when she wants a new couch she'll go write a $5300 check without even saying anything, and claim that we needed it!! When I spent $200 on a video card she wants to know where the money went, and why I need a video card since mine is brand niew that I bought "just last year".
She's gonna be really POed when I go 939, 2GB Ram, and get the fastest PCIE card available.
