Hey guys, I'm doing a project for my advertising course and need some research on Wendy's fast food. You don't have to be a loyal customer of theirs, so if you could just answer these few questions, that would be great. If some of them seem repetitive, rest assured that I didn't write it

2. From general knowledge, which of fast food restraunts is

I'm a Burger King fan. Value menu Rodeo burgers, chicken tender sandwich and chili have my $3.50.

I like Wendy's because they typically have the fastest service and more reliable workers. I usually don't have to double check my order or repeat myself 12 times at Wendy's like I do at McD's or Hardee's or other fast food places.

Nope.

stay healthy?

No, and I really don't care. I'm at a great body weight because of diet and exercise. I'm not too worried about if a cheeseburger has 450 or 600 calories. I know it's bad, but I can afford to eat it.

5. Do you think there are things that Wendy's lacks
when compared to other fast food chains?

Value menu chicken sandwhich would be nice.

6. What would you suggest that Wendy's should do in
order to increase sales?

Promotions. 3 for 5 or 2 for 1 deals on the higher priced "premium" sandwhiches. Right now lots of other places have specials every now then on their higher priced items. Wendy's never does this.

7. What is Wendy's strongest feature that puts them ahead
of other fast food chains?

Dollar menu (although it's more like $1.29 now) still is an excellent value. 5 piece chicken nuggets, baked potatoe, chili, side salad, ect. All great items for very little money. And the Frosty's. Oh yes, the Frosty's. My wife more times than not make a special trip to Wendy's just for the Frosty's. They are so much better & cheaper than going to Dairy Queen or any other ice cream place.

8. What is Wendy's weakest feature that would set
them behind other fast food chains?

I've never been a fan of Wendy's fries. Also, my credit card is thicker than their value menu burgers. At least at BK or McD I can actually tell that there is a meat patty in there. With Wendy's I think it's often times just the leftover bits found on the griddle they flatten out and throw on the bun.

9. If you knew that Wendy's is coming out with a healthy
breakfast menu, would this persuade you to become a customer
of theirs?

Not really. I don't do fast food breakfasts. And I don't go to fast food places to eat healthy because usually the "healthy" items cost an arm and a leg and really aren't all that healthy.


10. If you are a loyal customer to other fast food
restraunts, what is it that they have or did that gained
your loyalty?

I'm only loyal to small mom & pop restaurants. Not franchises. When it comes to franchise meals, it's all about what is the most conveniently located, how much I have in my wallet, and what I feel like eating. I rarely eat at the same place twice in a row.

Well this sort of ties into my first answer. I like Wendy's because their stuff seems to taste the best to me. Their presentation is always vastly different from what is advertised on the signs, but I don't care. The image advertised may be the most perfect-looking burger ever, but when I open up that foil wrap and see a mushy little bun and beef & toppins slopped together quite hastily, I don't mind one bit.
I'm also a fan of Taco Bell, KFC, McD's to an extent (breakfasts), and Arby's. oh and Harvey's, BK once in a while.

I knew most big chains had the nutrition guides. Is it really because they care about us so much?! How sweet!

Nothing comes to mind. Well, unless Wendy's would like to start promoting the NHL more by selling some collectibles.

Hmm. I'm not too sure about this one.

The burgers are the best. The fries are good, the chicken products are very good, and the baked potatoes are excellent as well. Basically the taste is great.

Perhaps if I didn't already like them, yes.

(2) Burger King is my personal favorite because I like the fake char-broiled taste of the burgers & I also think they have the best fries since McDonalds changed to to "low-fat" receipe. (Wendys fries taste ok but tend to be soggy)

(3) Had no idea.

(4) I knew they had nutrition info available on their food, but I doubt its because they care about me!

(5) Reasonable prices ... and recently they lack Mr Pibbs soda on the menu here in Connecticut.

(6) Lower prices & pay more attention to requests like no mayo on a burger, they seem to screw up every time.

(7) Quality meat & fresh lettuce, tomatoes etc.

(8) Higher prices vs quantity of food & not enough locations.

(9) No effect... when I eat fast-food breakfast I'm not looking for "healthy".

(10) Good food, lots of locations, considerably less expensive plus discount coupons always available, don't screw up my order as often.

I'm a big fan of Wendy's even though I work at McDonalds.

Its gonna be really difficult for them to do breakfast.
They've tried it before and failed.
If they want to make it work, they will be losing money on breakfast for a while.

McDonalds pretty much control breakfast as far as fast food.
