i was cleaning my toilet and must've gotten a drop of the cleaning fluid on the stone tile floor without noticing.

i come back in an hour and it burned a half-inch-wide, quarter-inch-deep hole into the floor

never seen anything like that happen before. i've heard of it messing up a finish but not boring through the floor.

i wonder if it was because i had also used some floor cleaner around the same time.

Probably just the toilet cleaner alone, probably had some acid in it. If it's that strong you could probably cut the cost in half by mixing it with 1/2 detergent solution, unless it's the gel type, then you'd need to add thickener too, something like xanthan gum should work.

Pics?
