Wells Fargo deposit question...

I deposited a check at 8AM this morning... would it be officially in my account tomorrow? My ex used to work at WFB and I think she said it won't be there until Monday. Is that right?

Depends on if the check is local or not. I'd give it 1 business day to process to be safe.

Banks can wait as long as 4-5 business days before allowing you access to money deposited in your account, the information is usually posted at the bank somewhere. In most cases though, you can get to it the next day.

i think you get sameday credit for ATM deposits up untill 6PM, so next time use the ATM

How about calling their customer service at 1-800-869-3557 and asking them when your funds will be made available.

Banks differ on when they credit funds to a customer's account based on:
1) The issuing check, are they guaranteed funds, money order, personal check, company check, government check, local, out of state, out of country, any weird circumstances?
2) Did you make a deposit in the branch or through an ATM?
3) What time did you make your deposit, most banks have a cutoff time. If you don't meet this cutoff time your funds should be available the next business day which is Monday 3/25.

Would you like for us to guess your checking account balance and order you some checks also?

heh, it might or might not be.

Depends on your account setup, how much money is in the account, etc.

ATM check deposits are usually you get $100 instantly (for me, at least, I'm sure others can get the full amount) available, and then the normal check cleanng time (3-5 business days).

I think most WF accounts let you access the funds the next business day though, given a decent history with them. They could be changing this though, as they are becoming more and more "mainstream"

I do live upstairs from 2 really hot WF bank tellers.. hmm... Can you say excuse to loo^H^H^H visit them?

If there was a wells fargo by where I live I'd use it.

Sir Mix A Lot uses wells fargo. serious. I thought it was the funniest thing when I heard about that.

Thanks guys... just found out its in my account already. It takes longer if its more than $100. Security reasons I suppose. Its also immediately available if you deposit cash IN the bank and not the ATM, but they were still closed at 8 so I had to use the ATM. Oh well.
