Well, what a coincidence!

All the items on the Anandtech staff's wishlist is available at Newegg! Who would have thought it! And they even linked each one to newegg...

Seriously, they could at least warn it was a sponsored commercial....

santa claus keeps a list, he checks it twice, he's going to find out who's been naughty and nice

You're an idiot. No one is TELLING you to buy it, and newegg is a respected company for most on these forums. Plus, its always easier to buy stuff from one company that you trust. Nice entrance.

STFU NEWB!
Probably some guttless member who signed up for a new username to post something negative without people knowing who he is.

Pliablemoose already posted the link.

And yes, I signed up just to write this. I've read anandtech's excellent reviews for years though, and it didn't bother when they started the 'keyword advertising' in articles, but I feel this is going too far. It doesn't really matter that newegg is respected on the site, what matters is that a commercial is disguised as an article. Featuring all of the Anandtech staff. Who, of course, just happen to really only wish for things that newegg has...

No I don't like it, it smells, and I hope this is the last I've seen of it. As for all those STFU'ing me, read the article and tell me I'm wrong.

Jeez...It's NOT the point. The wishlist is obviously pure commercial for newegg. I take the lack of serious replies as an indication that I'm not completely off base.

I think that you are reading way too much into this, and even if what you say is true, so what. Why do you care? They have a wishlist full of stuff that you can buy at Newegg. Woopity fvcking sh!t! Get over it!

I would get over it, if it had said "advertisment" somewhere. If I read a review I expect it to be completely objective, this is just crossing that line IMO.

Commercialism is your problem then....hmmm...kind of goes along with what we've done to X-mas. What's the true meaning of Christmas? Excuse me while I dig out my "Charlie Brown Christmas" to find out.

Never really felt the need to voice a concern before this, so I never registered...I've been quite happy with Anandtech up to now. I hope some of the staff realize it's a slippery slope they're approaching.

it's a fair fear to have about the situation, but i feel that the links are most probably not provided to make anand money so much as for convenience sake.

the bi-monthly prices link over to company's as well, some have higher prices than the standard price-watch price: but it's probably because of relyability...

for the volume of shopping during Christmas, and instantly updated inventory, new-egg is one of the best web sights for your money.

But then i give anand the benefit of the doubt: he's not trying to railroad people into wasting there money so that he can get a cut.
