Well.. time to RMA yet another Fujitsu hard drive

It never fails. Between Samsung and Fujitsu, I've sent at least 50 percent of the hard drives from both manufacturers in for replacement. Over the past 6 years.

This one has bad sectors. It's a 6.4 GB. Luckily the warranty hasn't expired.

Anyone else have the same experience?

I feel your pain!! I rma'd a drive for a machine I was working on and I wrote the serial number down when I sent the drive back. I took them almost 3 weeks to return the exact same drive. Plugged it in, loaded windows, the guy came and got his machine 3 days later the drive crapped again. It has been sent back again, pretty poor service i'd say. Made me look bad also.

I have a 20 gig Fujitsu as a storage drive filled with stuff... working ok and I hope it stays that way.

I have a 4.3GB Fujitsu in my "guinea pig" box. its seen countless reformats and 4 operating systems. works fine, alebeit a little slow sometimes.

make sure you don't have your fsb overclocked at weird speeds, i had a WD and a fujitsu crap on me because of that, but after i lowered it back to normal, problems went away..
