For the sake of St. Patrick's day, the bishop and a bunch of cardinals, etc. have given a dispensation allowing Catholics to eat corned beef today even though it's a Friday in Lent.
I suppose because it's such an important holiday for the Irish, most of whom are probably Catholic. Which leads me to ask again...is OP Irish?
