after realizing that i have to send my klipsch 5.1's back to get a new sub, i decided to relieve some anger by playing a nice game of counter strike... as i go to log into my usual server it kicks me out with a message saying "your cd key is currently in use, please try again later".... hrm... now! i'm sitting here thinking, "well i haven't given my key out to anyway... and the key that is set to my game, checked in the reg., is the same as what is on the cd case..." yea... i guess friday the 13th came a day late for me :-/

Email valve about it. They'll tell you to scan the jewel case with your cd key on it. They'll disable your current cd key and give you a new one.

someone probably got hold of a pirated cd key and changed a letter in it. the new one just happened to be yours.

oh, this wasn't interesting...

Had the same problem with Half-Life on the CD key :( But didn't know about getting a hold of Valve to fix it, wish I had known then.
