I told you about the wind. :)

Glad you had a great time. I want to make it a yearly thing for the wife and I.

BTW don't plan on moving there. They are very strict on letting people move there and such.

Was that $1700 including everything? If not, how much would you say you spent the entire trip, including meals, activities, souvenires, etc.

no that was just flight + hotel.

i would say we spend about $2000 on everything else, maybe a little more. however we did a lot of activities which were pricey, as well as eat out every night at nice restaraunts. i would say i spend probably $300 - $325 on dinner alone. our very last day we did a lot of stuff. we went parasailing in the morning ($50 each, $100 total) then went horseback riding ($60 each, $120 total), then went to dinner where we ate with the table at the shoreline ($111 including tip), then we took a cab downtown ($20) and ended up partying ($100 on drinks the whole night). luckily we caught a ride w/other people to the restaraunt as well as home from the bars. but that day alone, as you can see, we went all out and spent about $500 in one day, not including purchases we made. we spend probably $200 on souveneirs and stuff. we also went out everynight, spending probably $60 - $100 every night on partying.

its way worth it, and we had saved enough $$$ to do everything we wanted to do w/the little time we had. next time I go i'm renting a car though to explore the island more, and to not have to worry about cab fares to get to places (although at night i would take bus into town and cab back home to not worry about drinking/driving).

Should have taken the Arubus downtown. It was $4 for 2 roundtrip passes.

What places did you eat? I should have told you to hit Iguana Joe's for afternoon drinks and appetizers.

yea i took the bus downtown, but it stops running at midnight so we had to get a cab on the way back. i stopped in iguana joes during the day when we went shopping down there, but we didn't eat or drink anything in there.

That was one of the stops on a cruise I took many years ago. Out of the 5 islands we stopped at, Aruba was definitely my favorite.
