Bought enough over the last weekend to build another box- officially a "loaner/demo" box (unofficially a Seti/Lan)- Asus nforce board with a 1800, 256 mb ram, etc. Really wanted to see what it will do-1st time I'd tried a Nforce board. Started build yesterday morning, get everything loaded (except Seti).....and a good customer calls. His ancient PII 266 is going down, he has to have a computer for his business (lots of 2d Graphics), and they have to be ready for a presentation on Monday.
Needless to say, they now have the nforce (technically on loan, but suspect I'll find it hard to pry from the owners wifes fingers). Oh well, had been trying to get them to buy a new system anyway, but I'm still wanting to see what a Nforce box will do!
 
I assume they will be paying for the box.........



I guess it it just the time it takes to get another in???? Can't be without the "loaner box" You never know when another customer will come calling.... 😉
 
You didn't have time to see how many WU's would do? What a shame, now hope that the loan come backs soon. 🙂

Well, It went about the way I figured-" Can you get us a SCsi card and a Zip250 drive, we'll take this one......."

I guess in a week or two I'll go ahead and build another box........
