The starter solenoid that I replaced about a few weeks ago has already failed. Failure mode, no sound and whacks to able to get the engine going.

BB12v or WAI solenoids. Talk about garbage.

Better to risk it with Advance or Autozone than with cheap Chinese solenoids. Advance will give about a few months to three years. I'm going to see if there is a Denso Reman....

And holy moly, the prices for a reman from Advance or Autozone is almost 200 dollars.

I might as well order an Acdelco Gold or reman'd OEM for 100-120.

Rockauto has AcDelco Golds. One Amazon review said it lasted only 30,000 miles. Some online Toyota dealers are selling reman'd OEM for about $90. I'm leaning towards the OEM for peace of mind.

Go with OEM, bite the bullet. There are parts and there are GOOD parts.
