Got a signed off contract last Saturday. Had a copy of it faxed to all 3 possible lenders today. Home inspection is set up for Wed. morning. Lets see if we can't get this ah heck closed by Nov 30th :D

Getting the competing offers in from the lenders now. Wow.... one of them actually thinks 6.5% interest is a competitive rate?? lol

Really?, You will be hard pressed to find much less than 6.2% *APR*.

The first thing you're going to have to do is rewire the house with a couple of ethernet, fiber, and coax runs :evil:

I've already got the bulk cat5, keystone jacks, mpls plates and punch tool ready ;)

Ha ha me too when I bought a new house 3 years ago... but my cat5 is still in the garage and wireless works great!

Ok... after all the lenders made their bid It looks like Impact Mortgage gets it. With a rate 5.875% and closing costs about $200 cheaper than everyone else. Incidentally if anyone in the Birmingham area needs someone to help them with home financing Keith Bice is a great guy to talk to. Very knowledgeable and professional.
Now lets find out of the seller managed to get the utilities turned back on since the home inspection is tomorrow morning.

That would be awesome.

Quickest I closed on a house was 14 days in Georgia.

Took 3 months in Oklahoma.
