i just put the last bag in my truck, now it's time to take down my comp, and then i'll be off to move into my dorm at NDSCS for the year. with any luck i'll be up and neffing in 24 hrs 🙂 . audios

edit: check below..

:Q is right!

i'm just worried about the campus network... it's all wireless, and a wireless network in wahpeton, north dakota at that. :disgust: they keep making claims that i HAVE to use the 3com cards they have for sale in the book store, i already have two us robotics so i'm not about to buy another one. i don't really see how they could block cards made by certain venders, in theory any card should work on a 802.11b network... oh well

oh yea, they say we have to use the 3com cards because of 'security reasons'... more like 'we want your money reasons'

bleh, i'm turning my comp of now 🙁

by "security reasons" they mean "we don't want to troubleshott a bunch of freaking idiots network connections after they bought the cheapest NIC they could find that didn't have the correct drivers for their OS and other annoying crap."

DINGDINGDINGDINGDING!

We have a winner of the "interpret this political statement" award.

so for security reasons 😀 i gave them my notebook with the card so they can put my ip addy in... well today i get the book back... dosent work, i guess they are trying to config their wireless network to my onboard NIC :disgust: with that aside, it's working now that the wireless adapter is config'ed.

just did a bandwidth test and I've got a way capped t1, 256k down and 1350k (or so) up. oh well... it's better than dial up.

edit: oh yea, so i guess i'm back 🙂 and ready to work on my post count

also, there happens to be a fine hunnie in all of my web classes, who also plays counter strike... uhhh i think i'm in love 😀 , anyway, she is from denver, dosen't know anyone here, except me 🙂 ... took her to a movie last night, i think I'm going to ask her out to my lake for a day over the holiday weekend here. wish me luck! 🙂 (btw, finding a hottie that plays cs has been a dream of mine for as long as i can remember) whoever said college rocks was right 🙂
