I thought my turbo was shot when I heard this-

I pulled the intake and checked shaft play on the turbo...it was minimal (felt normal to me). When checking the AC belt, I noticed that the idler/tensioner pulley was wiggly...and the bolt was finger loose.

Problem solved!
