About a month ago, some friends of my mom & dad suggested that we tag along with them to Halloween Horror Nights at Universial Studios after their great experience there last year. Hey, it's a theme park, gotta be a good time, right? Wrong.
We went on their only sold-out date, and it was damned apparent that it was sold-out for good reason. More like oversold, every single event had a wait of an hour and fourty-five minutes to two hours. And this year they were selling beer. Sure, great for the crazy college frat punks, but the last thing that I think of as fun is some wasted 16-year-old shouting at the top of his lungs right next to you in line for a crummy 30-second ride and getting sick off his beer breath (plus it was cr@ppy Miller Lite, who wants that?
). The only redeeming thing about the entire event was that I got to see my sibs squirm around whenever when of the dressed-up monsters pulled the cord to the chainsaw behind the little igits backs and let the motor whir. But I can do that myself, so no biggie.
