Well, system just barked at me

Right after windows booted up and the icons on the far right side of the start bar finished appearing my system speaker went BEEBEEBEEBEEBEE five times, very rapidly (almost seemed like one long beep). Everything still runs fine. I'm not too worried, but any explanations?
