How stupid does Bush think we are? Well, pretty stupid obviously. He did sell this war to us on a notion, and 70% of the pop. bought straight up. Now he's telling a bunch of veterans (who have to either listen to him or stop getting funding) that "So long as I am president, we will stay, we will fight and we will win the war on terrorism".

Ok, nice. I thought that meant actually going out there and fighting terrorists.

There aren't too many of them in Iraq, at least there weren't any before we went in there. Perhaps we've created some, in which case I guess technically we are killing terrorists we've only created, a vicious cycle.

There aren't too many in Crawford, either, so as long as Bush stays down there clearing brush and the public stays informed about some kid in Aruba rather than Americans dying and being severely injured (and the emotional, social and pure economic cost of that, not to mention the geo-political repercussions of such a thing).

So, what are we going to do, huh? Should have thought of that before.

Welcome to P&N. Now, if we could only channel your outrage into something a bit more substantial and directed.

What type of response are you looking for this? Actual debate about something or merely applause for you attempts to summarize the entire state of the country in one half-hearted, online rant?

I think this belongs in the logical fallacy thread, man. A little 'either/or false dilemma. Many more choices exists, though you frame it as "a bunch of veterans (who have to either listen to him or stop getting funding)." Nice try, though....sure sounded nice and catchy. :cookie:

Aren't there any conservatives on this board? One would hope that there would be.

And I'm not trying to summarize the entire country, I've merely focused (albeit very briefly) on the most important facet of our foreign policy agenda (which, along with most of Bush's domestically policies, is decidedly broken).

Delving into the administration's numerous gaffes, follies, inadequacies and major meltdowns (not to mention their complete incompetence) with regards to more domestic issues would result in an entirely different rant- one that would probably be equally enraged, no doubt.

Well, sadly you have just proven to the 'Conservatives' here that you are in fact a lefty, liberal, tree-loving, Hippie Hugging, kook.

Again, your purpose? Are you soliciting proposed "solutions" to the probems you see? Do you want people to tell you that you are wrong? Do you want claps on the back? There are conservatives here, but you haven't asked them anything. Your posts seem to lack focus, and contain only general criticism.

Perhaps you wanted this site, instead of AT P&N?

Actually, I despise hippies. THey're slacker druggies who smell bad, that's my opinion on druggies. I also detest Hillary Clinton, she's right up there with my most hated senators.

Additionally, I'm pro-life, although I take the Natural Law party's view on the issue as fact: abortions should be done away with, but should be done voluntarily as a society rather than as the strong arm of the law (remember, the constitution's 4th amendment gives you control over your own body).

I'm also pro-life down the line, not stopping simply at abortion. I'm against unnecessary war, against the death penalty, for expanded health care for all citizens and for a clean environment for generations to come.

I propose a Consumptive tax instead of a flat tax based on its merits

Ooh sorry worng thread😱

Let's not have an argument, it's too early in the day. Instead, why not throw out your ideas for how to fix this whole Iraq thing (debacle)?

What should a civilized nation such as ourselves do, we can't turn back the hands of time god knows.

Umm, that seems a bit childish don't you think?

You came into the thread making a gaggle of blanket generalizations sounding much like all of the other hardcore left wingers around here, then you ask conservatives to have a discussion with you about how to fix what you percieve is a horrible problem.

When you make posts like these all you are going to get is ignored by conservatives who aren't going to take the flame/troll baiting and a bunch of atta boys from the liberal left on this board which is a sign that the radical hive mind here collectively approves of the extremeist troll post.

If you want discussion, then make a post worthy of some discussion. Otherwise you reap what you sow.

You've chosen so far to ignore the questions posed to you by both AnyMal and BushBasha. Also, if you want to discuss Iraq, why not choose any of the 100+ threads here that already deal with specifics?

"Bush sucks and things are FUBAR! Discuss!" is not exactly an inviting opening post (especially considering that you left off the entire "Discuss" invitation) if your goal is logical and realistic debate on a hugely broad and diverse issue.

Yes you should have thought that before, but this isn't the real problem in the moment, errors are there to learn from them. The real problem is that Bush&Co either don't think it was an error or they are playing some sick political game.

Some Facts:

1. Iraq posed NO THREAT to the US
2. No Al Qeada ties in Iraq prior to invasion
3. We are not safer with Saddam gone

Bush and his follower are still in denial of these facts.
