Well, something in my desktop is dead

After moving into a new apartment and hooking up my desktop, I ran into a rather large issue, with the desktop not really working.

The specs for the machine are in my signature.

After plugging it in and trying to boot, it made an alarm noise. I forgot to plug in everything for the monitor, and freaked out and hit the power button.

After getting everything hooked up properly, and trying again, nothing happens sort of. The power kicks in, but there is no beeping and no signals sent to the monitor. The mouse isn't receiving power. All the fans turn on, and I can turn on the cold cathode case light. But other than that, nothing. Unfortunately, I lack spare parts to switch stuff out with at the moment.
I know it isnt the hdd because the mobo would be broadcasting messages. I don't think its the video card, because the mouse isnt lighting up and there aren't beeps. I don't think its the psu if its able to turn on, and there should be more activity going on if its the ram that is the issue, so I would assume either the mobo or the cpu.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've never had an issue quite so bad, usually if I have problems the computer isnt quite so non functioning so I can get a better idea about whats dead.

Well, considering that you moved and all something might have become loose or dislodged inside your PC...have you opened the case and reseated/checked to see that everything is connected properly?

I saw a computer once that wouldn't boot up because one of the pins in the PS/2 keyboard connector was bent and shorting out on one of the other pins.

Before I posted, I opened it up and looked for anything obviously loose, but didn't find anything. I tried again and this time just sort of unplugged most of the cards and cables and reinserted them, and that fixed it. I guess something was just loose enough to cause problems, but not visibly so. /shrug

Thanks for the help! Consider my computer fixed.
