HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah ? Two soldiers in a sport utility vehicle escaped when an F-16 fighter jet opened fire and destroyed the SUV during a night training exercise in Utah.

A Hill Air Force Base spokeswoman says the soldiers suffered minor injuries when they jumped out of the vehicle at the Utah Test and Training Range. They were not hit by any of the 20 mm rounds fired by the pilot on April 8.

The SUV was in part of the range where the Air Force uses live ammunition in mock combat. Lt. Beth Woodward says it was not clear whether the soldiers were supposed to be in the area when the pilot fired.

Air Force investigators have closed part of the range as they investigate the incident.

Hope they went and bought lotto tickets that night.

I'd have to have rectal surgery for them to separate the seat from my ass if I were driving.

So much for all that high tech, expensive weaponry they keep telling us about. Even when the target is hit with live ammunition, those people inside are able to climb out with no injuries.

Additionally, the Air Force Chief of Staff was recently forced to resign from his position due to making two serious mistakes; one was allowing nuclear missiles to unknowingly remain onboard a flight across the US, the other was for mistakenly shipping nuclear missile fuses to Korea. Now this situation happens with soldiers straying into a live fire area. Something is seriously wrong with the management in the Air Force.

Homer: [suspicious] Hey, what are all these holes?

Salesman: [quickly] These are speed holes. They make the car go
faster.

Homer: Oh, yeah. Speed holes!
[bullets riddle the car and smash the windshield]

Salesman: You want my advice? I think you should buy this car.

try all armed forces, but it's more of getting caught than mismanagement.

There is a reason that whole '$100 toilet seats' debate exists.
