Not super-new anymore, I got the car in the end of July ... But it is still tons of fun to drive ... I guess going from a 130hp '92 Eclipse GS makes a difference :)

Yeah, I really only intended to take the first two sets of pictures ... But then after spending so much time washing/waxing the car with Zaino, I wanted to take pics to see if there was a noticeable difference... From brand new it doesn't seem like there's a ton of difference, but Zaino definitely helps to keep up the new-car shine.

Yeah unfortunately housing is very expensive in Fairfax County (I guess because of its close proximity to Washington DC)... The townhouse is surprisingly big on the inside though... Very livable ... From what I remember when I bought it, it has close to 2500 square feet of living space (Maybe 2200 or so? ... Definitely more than 2000). Of course, you hardly get any property (the backyard is even smaller than what you see in the front yard). But hey its a nice and close 5 minute ride to work everyday, and the area itself is very nice.

hah .. Although the shine is one of the reasons I put Zaino on the car, paint protection is also a big reason. All new cars are required to use water based paint instead of lead based paint for environmental reasons, and because of that paint on new cars tend to chip and peel more easily than on an older car. The polish helps to protect the paintjob... Sorry if you already knew this, but I want to protect my car as much as I want it to look nice.

nice lookin place, nice lookin car. what do you do?

PsychoAndy,

I work for Lockheed Martin as a System Integration Analyst... its really just a fancy title to say that I support the software developers as a unix admin/troubleshooter/whatever they need help with. Defense industry is doing fairly well right now, so in this area the economy as a whole hasn't suffered as much as in other areas (Most of the people who lost jobs at WorldCom were able to pickup jobs with some sortof government contractor).

Oh yeah, I also live with a co-worker who pays me rent .. which is what helps to offset a lot of my costs.
