People go to hell for making deals with the devil. Maybe you should stand on principle and burn the house down before allowing compromise to corrupt everything you hold dear.

Would that be deficit neutral? :D

You grow government and we will fight you.

You are the reason this country isnt great.

What do you propose we do about the 15 trillion dollar deficit? THAT is certainly continuing under Obama. .
Go back to the tax rate that was in play under Clinton, pull out of Iraq and Afghanistan, do away with Oil Subisdies and Farm Subsidies, slash Foriegn Aid, cut the defense budget in half, invest in programs like HSR, invest more into the Space Program (which has always been a money maker if you consider all the inovations that came of it) Invest in Altrenative Energy and do away with all the Tax loopholes that the Rich use to get away with paying taxes unless it has to do with investing in American Work and gut NAFTA.

I always hear this from the right, yet, there are fewer government employees\per 1000 people than there was in 1960. o_O
Hasn't more jobs in the Public Sector been lost under Obama than Private? The Teabaggers and their sycophant Republican bitches are alway complaining about Government growth, it seems under Obama it's shrunk.

Ok. Now how do we make up the other trillion dollars a year we spend more than we take in and pay back the 15 trillion we already owe? Its also interesting that you make no mention of any changes to medicare, medicaid, social security, or any entitlement program.

You also mention cutting subsidies and yet mention things like HSR and alternative energies which without subsidies would simply not exist. Not that I don't agree myself with getting rid of subsidies but at least be consistent in your views.

perhaps not the far right but many were. the OP is a lie and a troll thread with no commentary. it should be locked.

either way Obama is contiinuing the bullshit and it should be stopped. the dems lack of commentary says a lot.

I, as stated here many times, 100% agree. There is little difference between Bush and Obama and I'll always be happy to say I voted neither of these shits into office. The only difference in some cases is WHOM they are beholden. Many of the points made in the linked photo/post in the OP weren't terribly far from the truth, though.

While I don't agree with your politics, it's nice to see at least one liberal on this board with the stones to realize that violence has it's place in politics\governing. Most of the liberals here would just hide in their houses and wait for tea partiers to come drag them out in the street and shoot them in the head.

So? What does that have to do with anything?

In 1980 the Fed spent about $2600 per person.
In 2011 it will spend about $12,000 per person.

That is the measure of the size of government. The fact that we have fewer government employees per capita only means the Fed is far more efficient at wasting our money that it used to be.

And for what it's worth, most of the things in the OP's list made me mad. And that list is a bullshit assumption to begin with.

are those inflation adjusted dollars?

LOL... Flailing!

Google says a 1980 dollar is worth ~$3.57 today.

Adjusted for inflation, the Fed spent $9282 per capita in 1980.

$12,051 > $9,282

Hmm... That's +30%
Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! :awe:

Lied? No. Forgot to adjust for inflation? Yup. Corrected for inflation and you're still wrong? Yup!

How does it feel to be wrong... again?

How am I still wrong? I only asked you about your wrong numbers.

Your initial statement made it seem government had grown 400% when the reality is 30% and who knows if that's even correct.

What is troubling is out of the possible outrage that should have pass the Republicans were capable to muster it against healthcare reform. These people pleps, rubes, poor morons who desperately need care and protection as the viper Republcian has no problem stabbing them in the back throught a varius of pathetic inhumane schemes.

Luckily they failed. I rather have Universal Healthcare but a mandate I have come to believe will do just the same. Whats most important is the forced involvement that we all have in each others lives. Thank you Republicans, Romney, Gingrich etc this was all your idea! Who knew you bastards cared?!

Ummm... Basic 3rd grade arithmetic?

I only asked you about your wrong numbers.
My numbers weren't wrong. They were absolutely correct. They just weren't adjusted for inflation. An admitted oversight, since corrected.

Your initial statement made it seem government had grown 400% when the reality is 30% and who knows if that's even correct.

You tried to assert that government was smaller by stating some bullshit (Re: undocumented) stat about government employment. Pot, Kettle. Kettle, Pot.

And now that we're past the diversionary accusations... Well... your diversionary accusations. You're still wrong.

You were responding to soundforbjt not me. Fucking idiot. I was just commenting on your trumped up numbers.

Sorry, did I miss the part where ERs across the land started demanding proof of health insurance or ability to pay before seeing a patient?

As with almost all else that's politically motivated, the lynchpin of the argument is a lie.

I thought that wasn't legal, they're required by law to treat a dying patient. That's why they're bankcrupt.
