Well, my T61p froze up during Memtest86

This isn't a good sign.

My T61p has been freezing up randomly recently. Just freezing in place.

So I ran memtest.

Yes, it froze up.

Any idea what this could be? Overheating? CPU? Motherboard?
 
pop the keyboard and clean the heatsink area etc. Yeah try just one stick. t61p is my fav thinkpad of all time and I've used about 10 models in the past 10 years.
