My trusty Altec Lansings finally bit the dust after nearly a decade of use. I want to replace them with something that will live up to that illustrious legacy. I've been thinking about going for some Logitechs, anyone got any recommendations?
 
Logitech z-2300s - you can usually get them from amazon for $100. I believe this is a 200 watt setup. The bass is punishing and the highs sound phenomenal. Depending upon your budget these are really worth the money.

On the other hand the Klipsch ProMedia get a lot of praise (I've never heard them) but I can't recall anyone stating $30 to $50 exra you'll spend to get them being worth it.

Search the GH forum for 2300 and you should find a couple threads asking pretty close to the same question.
