Well, looks like I'm out about $100...

I have what I'm fairly sure is a dead Shuttle AK31, as well as an Iwill KA266-R that only picks up RAM in one slot. I bought them both in FS/T forums a while back, so I don't have a warranty...and I just found out that Shuttle won't RMA the board - they do it for "direct customers" only..

Does anybody happen to know if I can RMA through Iwill? If so, I'll be a happy (well..happier, anyways :p) camper, and send an Athlon XP sticker to whomever the helpful person might be :D

I haven't even thought of that...have you found a dealer that would RMA a board for you? Sounds like I need to make some connections..

not quite and i figured you were going to ask, soo....

i had a problem with my Viper alarm manufactured by DEI. DEI does not deal directly with the customers. Circuit City is an authorized dealer. Circuit City RMA'd my alarm out to DEI, and DEI then sent the alarm back in two days.

You might contact the FS/FT sellers and ask them to "front" for you, submit the RMA in their name / address and pay them to ship you the RMA's when they arrive.

That might work, if I can find/remember who I bought them from...off to my heatware account, I guess :)

In FS/T, the seller is responsible for delivering working goods unless you agreed otherwise. Ask whoever you bought it from for a refund.

I'm aware of that, but the Shuttle motherboard was working previously in my computer. It's not a problem with the seller. The Iwill board, on the other hand..it never did pick up RAM in any other slot, but I only had one stick & didn't notice the problem until I tried adding RAM. I can try contacting that seller and see what he'll do.
