Well, Logitech's quality sure went down the crapper...

Logitech's wireless is good if you pay $$$ for them... their cheap stuff is really cheap. Other than Logitech Microsoft has some nice wireless desktops.

Any reason behind your statement about Logitech's quality? I own lots of stuff by Logitech and they're usually top notch.
 
I have nothing against Logitech. It's all about how you use it.

I've had the Logitech Mouseman Optical, MX700, MX900, (all with keyboard/mouse combos) and now the MX1000. All the other mice are dead or are exhibiting dying symptoms (aka totally tracking like a drunk). Yeah, okay, to some people $500 worth of mice/keyboards dying in 4 years does seem extreme, but I do use to game to the extreme (8-hours a day, before I started getting serious about studying lol).

So to me that was probably closer to 10 years of "use". I think it was worth it for the time used 😱

I've read about how their quality has gone downhill and their customer service just replaces stuff. Sure enough when my mx700 died the phone rep was sweet as sugar and had a new one on my doorstep in under a week. Which is now dying. Problem is, I don't want to call them up every 3-6 months for a replacement.

That's pretty terrible I'll admit... but look, they are replacing your stuff, and I'm sure your run of bad luck has been pretty circumstantial (either that or you run your peripheral's pretty hard). Both of my roommates have had their mx700 for over 3 years now. Never broke or anything. I've had my mx310 for just as long, and I'm upgrading to a G5 as soon as Newegg gets it to me (excited).

My experience with Logitech and MS mice have been pretty superb. And Razer, I stopped using them around the boomslang era when they took too long to release win xp drivers. But I've been hearing good about them too lately.
 
I got one of their wireless and it really is AOK. I also use Logitech trackballs for my other computers.
 
I got a Logitech MX3100 Laser for Christmas and it's a very nice keyboard/mouse combo. I have zero complaints with it.
 
Yeah, I think you just got a bad run or luck, or just take really crappy care of your stuff. Because I have never had a single problem with a logitech mouse, and they are all I buy.
 
Lol, I love the game of "Blame the OP" everyone at AT loves to play 😛 I'm really not concerned with anecdotal experiences with the company, I think hearing a lot of similar storiess combined with the business logic of replacing cheaply produced products rather than building good ones really tells the tale. I'm only asking what other wireless options there are, preferably good ones.
 
Well, besides Logitech there really is only one other manu. you can turn to: Microsoft. I've tried Belkin and Kensington products and I've been unsatisfied with them both. IMHO you are left with the option of choosing between the lesser of the two evils. Good luck with that. 🙂
 
I'll one-up you. Why won't anyone make a wireless "natural" keyboard? My work setup pretty much dictates wireless for me, but I hate using an ordinary style keyboard.

I hear you loud & clear on that lol, I've been wireless (ie. straight KB) for about a year and a half now and still feel uncomfortable with it, type slower and have more typos. This after years of split wired. Maybe I just have big hands... There's some money to be made here, someone should take note.
 
I agree.. everyone of my logitech's products have broken on me once.. well until I've gotten this MX1000, which I've been using for over a year now strong. I love this mouse 🙂
