Yea, you showed 'em!!

🙂 🙂 🙂
p.s. gambling is like flushing your money down the toilet with the hope that some of it will float back!

I don't understand the appeal of Blackjack when you're trying to actually win at gambling. That game will eat your wallet alive.

Or maybe it's just because I don't know all the rules of the game or something. WHATEVER!

haha i was tryin to win my money back, was tryin to avoid this big fat female dealer who keep pulling 20s with 5,6 showing vs my 17,18s......well my attempt to not be superstitious cost me, as the battleaxe came to clean me out
after i move to the 25$ tables cos everyone left her table and they close it .......u bleed that?

last time I went only came in with $10,came out with $150. There has to be some sort of equilibrium in the world. I hope next time things go better for you, I can feel for that sort of thing.

Actually, blackjack is the only game where you actually have a real chance at winning.

To the original poster: That's why I play at pokerroom.com. I can realize that I'll get greedy and go all in on a mediocre hand and lose it all within the first 15 minutes. I went through both of my refils for the day in 20 minutes a little bit ago.

I'm never going gambling with real money

Only gamble if you will not miss the money. If you think of it as an entertainment expense, then it isn't so bad. Just make sure you always plan to lose the money you go in there with and you will not be too upset.

Pai-Gow has the fairest odds...and is the best game to play in my opinion because you lose your money slow and get to holds your cards.

However, they usually take a commission out if you win because a casino would never let the odds be exactly equal. Stupid casinos.

gambling should be viewed as a form of entertainment, like strippers.

but with strippers, u enjoy losing your money. you usually don;t with gambling.

but unlike strippers, u (usually) cant get more $ than what you brought in. with gambling you can.

thus there;s a ~50% chance you'll be less happy than if u blew the $ on strippers. but there's also a ~50% chance you'll be more happy than blowing the $ on strippers.

I say more happy than strippers cause if u win, then u can blow the winnings on strippers and still have the original amount 🙂 it's having your cake and eating it too 😛

Unless you are pretty well off and can afford that $700 no sweat, you might want to lay off the gambling and step back and consider whether you have a problem.

I've heard it's the game with the least chance of losing - ie, you'll still lose, but by a minimal margin (if you're very good).

Still, gambling with large sums like this is stupid. I'm sure that $700 is no tiny amount of money to you.

That phrase sends shutters down my spine. I hate it when my friends and I are playing poker and someone says that. I just get worried....

I won $60 with $.25 in a nickel slot the other day.

in ac once I hit the triple 7s jackpot on the nickle slots (only one nickle)... the damn machine kept on beeping and had lights flashing everywhere. .Apparently, the machines don't pay out when you hit the jackpot.. I had to wait for a casion person to come and pay me my winnings... which totalled a whopping $50. Thankfully, it wasn't in nickles.

actually, it's a fine idea... it's a martingale.. but the damn casinos are too smart and have maximum betting limits. you can also try using d'almbert's system, but that requires large bets as well and you may hit table limits too.

Yep, same here. Just kept going....and going....and going.....1200 credits after it was all said and done. An attendent had to go and bring me the cash as well.

the most i take to the casino is $60. play $10 hands. if i lose 3 hands in a row due to dealer getting crazy wins (ie: showing a 2 and hitting up to a 21 with 5 cards, or just 2 natural blackjacks), ill walk. last week i made 3 trips to the casinos with friends. walked away with over $300 the past week. small potatoes, i know. but now i have a tdk 8x dvd* (thanks mysticman!) burner and a iriver 390t. 😀

its all about knowing when to walk away. also, when im up, i start pocketing chips and dont touch them unless i have a really good double down or split opportunity.

If you are good at poker, it is actually a very profitable game to play. But, like you realized, you can't go on tilt and go crazy with mediocre hands. You have to stay disciplined, or else everyone who is disciplined will end up taking your money.

I only spend $5 to $30. I know I'm going to lose and that's all I really care to lose. At least Mohegan Sun has a 24/7 Krispy Kreme now. 🙂
