Do you have any real need for a dual setup?
Oh and nothing on earth can beat my file server!

He most certainly does. He is involved with all kinds of server apps that would suck up all of that power.

Hah, soon 1.4s will be out and we'll dual 1.4 pals and OC above him.
Great system though, you may now run counterstrike at a constant 110 FPS instead of 85!

HAR HAR HAR!

Hey folks, there are three versions of the Tyan now available. The cheapest (hehe) lacks the server management chip and SCSI, but still costs $385 or so (PriceWatch).

is RC5 or SETI or whatever you use multithreaded to take advantage of dual processors? if not you might not see as a big performance increase from your WU's than you expect.

The Tyan K7 Thunder is one of the most stable boards that I have ever used for the AMD platform, I am running a Tyan K7 with 2 x 1200Mhz AthlonMP's, 1GB PC2100 Reg. ECC Crucial, 4 x Seagate X15's RAID 0 + 1 on a Adaptec 3200S, Elsa GeForce 3, Lian Li PC 70, Win2K Server. If only other DDR boards would use the AMD Southbridge, It would make them a lot more stable. I am anxious to try another Dual Socket A board when they come out.
