So there.

Its a fact.

Apple is going for Intel ONLY. No AMD so far.

Maybe Intel got pissed because MS gave so much support to AMD for their AMD64 plataform? Maybe they needed to look somewhere else since they have lost for almost a year the performance crown to AMD?

Maybe AMD and MS will make a better aliance regarding Longhorn?

Maybe we'll all have Mac OS and Win dual boot?

Maybe...

I bet Apple will put a special bios on apple motherboards so that you can't load Tiger on a non-Apple peice of hardware.

They don't use a BIOS per say...

I don't get it. They'll put special bios feature's on an APPLE bios so that you can't load OS X on a non-apple motherboard? I think you mean that it wouldn't load the Apple computer if a non-MAC hardware-piece was in it. Please, tell me what you mean.

Most likely, they'll use a 2-prong approach to prevent Tiger running on vanilla x86 machines.

First, an encryption scheme of some sort. Second, a proprietary "loader" to boot in to OSX. I'm quite sure the first could be hacked easily but the latter might be a tad more difficult.

Reading at AT the reasons for Intel change, the upgradability path using Intel processors, and future DC Dothan processors, well... it makes a lot of sense. Also, I am certain they will be even cheaper, just like a High-end Dell.
