Both me and my family always figured I would become some big tech guy making 6 figure...

That was certainly the way I wanted to go between the ages of 8-17.

Now I can hardly stand working on computers. I got a job as a technician in a small shop. After 1 month I quit because building computers was just not fun anymore.

I registered for a bunch of business classes at university, and the only computer class I took (which is a second year requirement) is Computer Usage. I get to learn to use a search engine and move the mouse. Fsck I could teach that class with my ass.

What kinds of big paying tech jobs can you get with a business degree (I dont know what the actual degree I will get is, but I'm going into the business faculty at the university)?

All the big 6-figure tech jobs for the likes of those under 30 pretty much died with the dot-com boom. Learn something like Accounting or Operations Management or Law. Old economy, or new, being skilled in any of those areas will take you far.

Dude. I know how you feel. I'll die if people keep coming to ask me assemble their pc for them. :(

What's worse, I've been trouble shooting pcs for free over the years. Remembered that I once had to build 25 P2s in a day and getting paid like 50 dollars!!!!!!

You lack something everyone lacks...patience....

...Motivation and large companies offer some what they want...fast advancement and dollars...all easily taken away..

...Others seek to make their own way....

Thats just it. I'd love to make my own way, but I dont have a clue what getting some business degree is gonna help me get to where I want to be.
