I just got mine for the same reason, Abit AV8 and 3200+ 90nm. I am trying to OC it now (with Zebos help) and I will let you all know how it goes.

Zebo, should we use this thread for that, or should I start my own ?

Zebo you flip-flopper! ;)

Let us know how that works out... as for me, it's so close to Xmas now, I'll be shaking the friends & family down for more gift certificates to help out with my final purchase. I already have $80 in the war chest @ Newegg. :D

Hey zebo u stated that u bought the 939 3000 from mwave is that a oem chip or retailed for 150 bucks?
i am in the market to buy a new chip/board and i was going to go with socket 754 with the DFI lanboy board but after reading that review where there getting FX speeds out of a 150 dollar chip how could i go with the older chip?

Chip is a turd. 2450 max stable at 1.7vcore. I haven't had any problem with the board though.

Well, my best is 2350 at 1.6v. I tried 2.60 (5:6 divider with PC3500 exactly at spec for memory) at 1.7v and couldn't even post. but still 2350 over 2k stock isn't bad....

I'm startin' to think we got played by anands review. He made it seem 2600Mhz is a trivial affiar, on air , on low vcore even. WTF?!?!..so far, cross the net, my observation has been 2300-2450 hav'nt seen one 2600 like anand's advertised.

Hey it's even cheaper than that if you get a mwave combo here:
http://www.mwave.com/mwave/Pro...ard+Bundles+By+AMD+CPU

It drops the CPU prices even more and you get farcry and some other sh1t free.. toss it in cart and see!!

Well I have to say. It's making me feel better and better about my 754 setup. :)

For the most part it looks like 2400-2500 is common for air, but I have seen several people hit 2600 on air, and a few at 2700-2800 off of a 3000+ winchester with water. At least I have seen people say they hit this, not sure if they meant it booted at that or it ran prime for 24 hours at it.
