My fiencee (we get married next week) has been on the pill for a month. While on the pill we, umm fooled around once. After that she started her second month of the pills and is now having pregnancy-like symptoms. The only problem is these pregnancy-like symptoms match perfectly with the side effects of the birth control pills so we aren't really sure if she is. Has anyone else had this happen? The side effects of the birth control not showing untill a month after?

Update: Sorry been BUSY today at work, for once. Well last night, according to the almighty stick 'o pregnancy detector, the answer is NEGATIVE. We still need to do the test in the mourning to be sure, since I am told that is the time when its the easiest to detect. Since you have basicly held it for 8 hours...

Dude if I were you I would've let her remain on the pill for much longer than 1 month for safe measure, to make sure it's "kicked in".

Only way to tell really is to hit up a doctor's office.....g'luck

So she did one month of pills, had her period, started the 2nd pack.. and now you're here?

lol, relax.

Or do you mean that she used her first pack, didn't ever start her period, and now she's on her 2nd? That could be bad. 😉

Only one way to find out... I bet you're fine though.

You know you're supposed to wait 30 days, right? Congrats, you're preggers!

Just kidding, well, maybe... 😉

actually, you're supposed to wait a little longer than a month to get the pill to kick in. many people say 3-4 months is probably your best bet.

go get an EPT pregnancy system from the drugstore and see what you find.

i don't think it's much to worry about.

she should stop taking the pill if she's pregnant.

stop worrying. her body is probably just reacting to the pills. if you're REALLY worried, go get an EPT like someone said.

Condom = sex with peace of mind 🙂

Did she ger her period or not during the 21-28 day she had the pills??

No period ->Congrats Dad.

Either way I would skip the pills until you find out
* I would hit a doctors office for total peace of mind.

You can buy these tthings called a pregnancy test at your local drug store. Get one and have her take it.

BTW-Congrats! That's what happens when you have sex! 😀

Me and my gf have been using the "pull and pray" method for as long as I can remember. After two scares, we decided to get her on the pill. I was busting inside the second day of using her pill and no problems 🙂
