United Airlines Flight 144 en route to Honolulu was forced to make an emergency landing shortly after take off Saturday night.

Crew reported an unspecified mechanical error on board the Boeing 767. The plane was able to land safely back at Dulles and no injuries were reported.

The 228 passengers were placed on a different flight and continued on towards their destination.
