Well I owe Money this Year:(

Lifer
Did the taxes tonight I was a little upset with my wife because she had been claiming married and one so her part time pay checks were having no money taken out.

I KNEW we would have to pay in this year and things have been VERY tight.

I told her she had to pay AT LEAST HALF of the amount because IT WAS HER MESS UP!

SO tonight we did the turbo tax thing and check out what we owe :Q Screen shot :Q

Needless to say Laura has changed her w-4 to assure this will not happen again!

<< you should divorce her! >>

Let's ailmony and child support for TWO kids (one hear now and one in the hopper)

I can' afford to do that!:Q

well, if you're losing that much while you're married, it might be worth it...

<< i just did my taxes and I owe $300 this year... sucks >>

I hear ya I am trying to figure out where i am going to come up with the money to pay this bill😉

Same here. Wife claimed married with one exemption on her W-4 while mine is married with zero exemption plus additional $150 per paid (biweekly). Normalyy we owed about $1000 but for tax year 2001 we will have to pay $3500 since I have some nice increase last year. Oh well! That's the price to pay for living in a civilized world.

I feel your pain. In the last 35 years I have always broken even or received a few bucks.

BTW, I haven't done my taxes for this year, yet. I always wait 'til the last minute.

yeah, I clicked the link 😛 I would rather have some of their money during the year and pay them back at tax time than have them owe me money, I always owe $200 to $500 this year it is $300

Do your taxes early. If they owe you money, send it early. Otherwise, send it late.

Indeed it does suck. Some political commentator once suggested making people really feel the pain of taxes by eliminating withholdings and just making everyone write a big fat check every April 15th. If the average American had to sit down and write a check for the entire amount of their taxes, people might be a lot more willing to rethink the welfare state.

Ahh hell, I've been oweing those guys money since last years taxes, they'll get it whenever I have it to spare, and be glad they got it then. 😛
