I've been talking to him over AIM, and I've been telling him to stop being such a wuss and ask her, cuz she'll either say yes or she'll say no and he can move on. I've been telling him this for like months now. And he finally did it. Congratulations dude....I actually came on AT tonight cuz I figured you would post about it here 🙂

OK OK jesus, so she's not my "girlfriend" by your defintion. Whatever, I've asked her to do tons of things before, (yes kami, that one), and I finally just asked if she'd like to go out with me sometime as a date. She said yes. Don't ruin it for me. 😉
 
actually if she knows you pretty well then that may count as being girlfriend already...
 
Congrats man! I did the same thing last week, and just got finished with our first date. I had a wonderful time, and I hope you do as well! She may not be your "girlfriend" yet, but the transition from friend to girlfriend is usually a fun one!

I wouldn't recommend it. If you get her something, and she doesn't get you anything, it will probably be akward. On your first date you might want to get her a small bundle of flowers... No roses or any "committal" type flowers, just some pretty wild-type flowers. Don't try to go all out or you might ruin things. Ohh yea, and just be yourself so she likes you for who you are, not who you want her to think you are.
