I killed a Vibrant. I thought it was unpossible, but I did it. My power button no longer works so I can't turn the phone on, can't get it to wake from sleep, cant do jack in recovery.

RIP zombie phone. You will be missed.

Its a samsung, im surprised it lasted that long

dude...the Galaxy S series turned out to be seriously zombified. I tried to brick a Cappy I had because I was pissed that I couldn't unlock it. I did EVERYTHING possible to that phone and it wouldn't die. Good thing too because I figured out how to unlock it.

I thought I had killed my first Vibrant by formatting the internal SD but it turns out I could have just Odin'd it back to life.

Galaxy S=ZOMBIES!!!!!!!

its odd because I tore it apart and didn't find anything wrong. I'm pretty well versed in the inner workings after installing and uninstalling the FFC a few times. I had flashed a new ROM right before it died but I don't know how that could cause something like that.

I got it into download mode for long enough to Odin back to stock. Now I can't even get it to acknowledge that its plugged in. Sucks cause I don't have a current backup and I had puppy videos on there :(

Your hobby sounds expensive.
I profit from mine.
I've been buying alot of iphones and tearing them apart.
I've learned how to unlock, replace damage parts and resell them for a small profit.
Just from the last few months, I've noticed the used iphone market is alot more popular than the Android market.
Evrytime I've put an iphone on CL, I usually sell it within 2 days where as with Android phones, it usually end up on Ebay.

Not expensive in the least. I buy and sell on CL every once in a while. The $50/phone profit I turn just isn't worth all the idiots. I actually had a chick drive 45 miles, in the Michigan winter, with twin babies in her backseat just to "check out" an iPhone I was selling. Really bitch? An unlocked, jailbroke, mint condition 3GS is worth $300 not the $250 I was offering it for.

The Android folks are usually going to be deal seekers more than iPhone guys. I've sold 2 Android phones on CL within a day. You just have to know how to appeal to Android guys.

Yeah there are alot of idiots on CL but its a hobby that doesn't cost money.
The last 2 Android phones(Captivate and G2), ended up on Ebay cause I got like a couple of low ball offers.
One question I never answer. "whats your last price ?"
