Well, can't blame a guy for getting excited :D

Decided to post a pic. She still needs that bath though.

On behalf of the ATOT community: I demand a "filmed from the gas tank" vid of you flagrantly violating your local speed limits.

Wheelies a plus. :D

Wonder if I can put a wireless webcam on a helment :D

Flagrant speeding is reserved for the back of beyond interstate stretches in VT and NH. Around town, you would be disappointed in me ;)

Anyway, maybe have some fun during bike week here

Mostly Harley types, as is usual, but fun to go down the main beach drag in Weirs Beach and see ten thousand or more bikes all lined up.

Now that I have a digital cam, I will. Want to give it a good bath first. Amazing how dusty something can get in a closed garage.

Hmm....I see wireless webcam + bluetooth-equipped laptop velcroed to the tank or something.

140 mph Neffing. What could be cooler? :p

See the linky

Mine is the black/gray like you see there.

Fausto1 is indeed correct. Not only the fastest, but the '99 is the fastest production bike that will EVER be made. Reason is that the EU demanded that bikes be limited to 300 kph (186 mph) starting in 2000, and Japan did not want to make 2 of every bike, one for Europe and one for the rest of the world. You can defeat the limiter, but that is cheating, and therefore my bike remains at the top for unmodified bikes.

Thanks. Tis true, a Gixxer in the twisties has it all over me. The advantage I have over a 1000 is really ergonomic. The 'Busa being a larger bike allows me to do 500+ mile days, while the thought of riding a gixxer or other all out sport bike makes many cringe.

Damn you!!

I want a motorcycle, it seems like its hte perfect commuter in the summer, cheap to own, maintain and insure. Not a killer sport bike like yours but commuter motorbikes (if they have those in NA).

I want one ... I also wish I had that kind of money right now, but college bills seem to prevent that.

Ever have that monster dyno'ed to see what your actual hp was?

Bought a dumped 2000 gsxr600 with 130 miles on it to turn into a strictly race bike and dyno'ed 94hp with stock exhaust! :)

I thought I heard that the new gixxers were quicker than the busas? Oh well, not my style. Just picked up my 2003 Liquid Silver Yamaha Road Star Warrior yesterday. Damn I love this bike.

I would love to own one of those, but I couldn't see spending the money for something so impractical, I'd rather put it towards a Camaro.
