Goddamn send button.

Anyway, I've already updated my mouse and keyboard drivers. My problem still persists, and I don't know what to do. Mouse 3 works in game, so I can't tell what's wrong myself (usually this happens when The game started up but my mouse was still focused on another program, usually AIM, making the mouse 3, 4 and 5 buttons stop working. Yes, I've already tried closing down AIM, and all other programs in the system tray. Didn't work). I can't use my mouse 4 or 5 buttons, which are a necessity to me, because as a left handed computer gamer, I have a very tedious task of setting my keys so everything works. I managed to actually figure out a good configuration for Half Life 2 about 4 hours after I'd finally got it installed. That's the configuration I've been using, and now, two buttons don't work. This won't ****ing do, because if they don't work, I can't play the game. I lost My reload and interact buttons, and I don't know why.

This is really pissing me off. All I wanter to do was go and replay the game, and what am I doing now? Trying to fix a problem that, with my luck, will go unfixed for a long time, if not forever.

Sounds like you have seriously messed up your system... Reformat?! This is a weekend, reformatting should take you 2 hours including full install of OS and drivers... Then another 1-2 hours of Games Installing, depending on the numbers of games you want to install. IMHO don't use the logitech mouse drivers if you are using a logitech mouse. Elsewise I'm out of idea.

Oh, even ****ING better! I can't play ANY of my damn Steam games!

Looks like the last update of all of my steam games has rendered these two side buttons useless. I can't reload when I want to, and I can't use things. I'd have to reconfigure my ENTIRE control setup to fix his, and I really don't feel like spending those 3 hours reconfiguring Half Life 2, Garry's Mod and Counter Strike Source to work now. Not to mention It'd be pretty nuch impossible to do, beaceus I'm using the arrow keys. I have maybe 1 confortably set key to use after getting done with what I need to play normally.

Guess I just wasted 60 bucks! AND I bought Day of Defeat Source! Guess I wasted 20 more on that!

Thanks, Valve! Thanks for screwing me out of 80 dollars! Maybe you can use that for Gabe's next project: becoming the world's fattest man! He's already over halfway there!

Learn to play right handed, seriously you will be glad you did. If a steam update broke 2 of your mouse buttons, i'm sure they'll release another update that fixes it.

I tried playing right handed. For the first half year I played any FPS, I played right handed. I sucked so bad, and I always had to look at the keyboard to get back on WASD settings. I could barely last 2 minutes in Condition Zero, and I was lucky if I got one kill every 8 rounds. Then I switched over to left handed configuration. It was annoying setting the keys to be comfortable, but atleast then I didn't have to move my corded mouse (I have wireless now) over every time I played (my cord wasn't that long. A large amount of the times I died was from the cord jamming). Anyway, I played left handed and I improved dramatically. And it felt easier and more natural. I got my first headshot ever that round.

That's right. Took me over half a year of playing right handed to switch over to left, and only then did I get a headshot. The mouse feels odd in my right hand. It always did, and it still does when I use them in school.

So can you can see why I'm so pissed off? I'm not going back to sucking more ass than Gabe on a ham sandwich, and this God damn problem had better be fixed. And soon.

Valve. Fix one problem, make 5 more.
