So I got too much crap that I want to keep track off. Mp3's, pictures, videos, files and documents that I have produced over time.

So I am looking for a program that I can "backup" my music cds into mp3's. I would like something that can do automatically when I insert the cd into the drive...I know MusicMatch can rip but i don't see a way to do it automatically...also a program that can download the cover art be great.

If anyone has any experience with this or can point me in the right direction that be great.

thanks

Best way I've found is to get Exact Audio Copy and a copy of LAME. Both are free I'm pretty sure. Use the --r3mix setting, and set the file attributes to your liking. I just put the cd in the drive, and push encode. It works great.

Not sure about album cover art.

sounds like a plan...i use dbpoweramp for my mp3 ripping needs, its supposedly the fastest available, but it sucks that you gotta rename the tracks by hand (it names them to track01, track02, etc). good luck.
