Hey All:

I just built another LTC mining rig. I used to overclock all the time back about 10 years ago, and thinking I am still the BA I once was, I enabled core unlocking on my Sempron 145 and MSI 970A-G43, and then no post.

Literally zero. As soon as I hit save changes and restart I got no post. I manually reset the CMOS by jumping the two pins with a screw driver for 10 seconds ... and I still don't have anything, so apparently I killed something.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Sometimes I find that if the machine won't post it might the RAM - reseed it, try just one stick, and in different slots.

Also check to be sure the CPU is properly seeded, if its at all loose, you won't post on some boards as well.

NO whammies!!!

Normally I would say the same thing, but I figured it wasn't the motherboard, as well, I've fried plenty of CPU's in my day (normally on LN2) but this was a first on air.

It was all the symptoms (or what I remember as symptoms) of a CPU fry. I just got lucky this time. How embarrassing.
