So last Monday I was supposed to go and visit a friend, I had to postpone until this weekend. I went to get ahold of him tonight and he informed me that his sister had committed suicide on Tuesday. He apologized for not telling me. I was speechless, he is a close friend and I've never had to handle something like this. It was completely out of the blue, she was a 4.0 student in her junior year of university.

That must have been quite a shock. I can't imagine getting that sort of news.

I didn't ask of course, I talked to one of his other friends and he said that she apparently didn't leave a note. I'm concerned with how he will cope.

One of nephew's high school friends killed himself last year, it has been tough on him. Right around Christmas time too.
