Well damn, my neighbor just started a stereo war with me.

I was listening to my music kinda loud, but it's only 8:30 so i figured what the hell. I just noticed that he started playing base heavy music right when my song ended. The funny thing is that my sub is turned off right now. As soon as his song ends i'm going to turn deftech loose :)

BTW, i don't think i'm being a jerk. I've already told him that if it's ever too loud he can call me or come over and i'll turn it down.

If anyone says anything about it, I'll turn it down. I've had it up pretty loud around this time before and no one has complained

God, everyone in this place is so damned grumpy. Judging by the posts around here, everyone's a saint, who wields a large caliber weapon in case someone looks at them wrong, they've never been turned down by a girl, and could qualify for Mensa with one brain cell tied behind their backs. And then I remember this is a geek forum.

You need a couple of good strong straight pins to stick next to the wires on the back of the distributor plug and push in until they make contact with the back of the metal connectors on the wires......and a Digital volt/ohm meter DVOM. It is that simple, but do try and slide the pins in the same hole in the rubber protector that the wire goes thru instead of making new holes.....not a big deal it just looks better and reduces the risk of moisture intrusion.

Or maybe, MAYBE, some of us live in duplexes or apartments where we can hear our neighbors sneeze through the walls and we don't like hearing whatever they do.

I learned very quickly living here, in a duplex, that even with music and television at what I considered to be normal volumes, it was audible through the walls to the point where neighbors could not only hear it, but could tell what I was listening to or watching.

Common curtesy states that neighbors shouldn't have to deal with that. I'd hate it if I had to hear it, so I try to keep everything in my house down to pretty comfortable levels.

Stereo wars are fun. I always make sure I have more "ammo" then the people next door. Funny thing is, we are friends, but we still have the wars...LOL. You can live next to me, I could care less if the 15" sub was on my head @ 3am...I could still sleep, or if not, it wouldn't bother me at all and I would probably bob my head to the thump...heh.

Working the graveyard for 12 years, I've learned to sleep through anything...

And yet you know NOTHING about his living situation, and yet are willing to jump to conclusions.

Not every apartment complex has paper thin walls, ya know.

I get where you are coming from, but some people (myself included) would rather not be put in a position where we have to ask a neighbor to turn it down. If you were my neighbor, I would probably like you alot and wave and talk to you everytime I saw you. But everytime I heard that "BOOM BOOM" coming from your house, I would cringe. Just a pet peeve, I guess.
