Nothing like comparing yourself to George Washington & Dwight Eisenhower. Two Generals who actually did something.

"In 1789, George Washington became our first president after his fellow citizens called him back from his retirement at Mount Vernon. In 1952, General Dwight D. Eisenhower accepted a presidential draft and was elected our 34th president. Today, Wes Clark has answered a new, powerful call to service."

Let's be clear here -- he is talking about the grass roots effort to draft him into running, comparing it to similar draft movements for Washington and Eisenhower. You make it sound as if Clark is comparing military careers. I'm sure your distortion was inadvertent.

shinerburke, do you have anything to remotely useful to say? You're taking a few lines of the entire piece and blowing it completely out of context, then you selectively interpret it to fit your own caricature of him.

Are you going on quest to smear his good name on the Politcs and News forum? Just keep in mind Wesley Clark is a honorable man, he was Four star general, a rhodes scholar and a highly decorated war hero. If he were a republican you'll probably be singing praises.

Am I? Look the whole website over....it is nothing more than a bunch of fluff. C'mon...the man is running for President...the site should have something more than articles written to make him sound like an American Caesar.

This from one of the great trolls on the site...

I was pointing out that the whole site just screams of arrogance.

I am certain that Clark has his arrogant streak. Most politicians do. Bush for example. The difference is that Clark certainly has better justification for it. :p
