lol... I'm not even a tech aid, but yet I constantly get called up there to mount switches, label cables, make cables and setup patch panels... I'm good w/networking but lol...

on a side note, I get to slack off for 3 hours in a row, and schools just about out, so I can bug my ISP about hiring me (hell I admin their website, I want to do internet installs and services)

Anyways... at least I know I'll get a good recommendation!

Edit - I suppose I get asked to do projects (like servicing computers and other stuff too) because I practically have hardly any life outside of computers, but also I take cisco and visual basic (slackoff class)

I also get to run our outdoor sign that displays current info.. nothing like working w/a windows 3.1 machine updating the message board outside...

I had the same situation...I politely told them I cannot do it for free anymore, and I was hired. :)
