*Yet another semi-cerebral rant by MichaelD. If you like it, great. If you don't like it, great.*

Here it is, 12:30 in the morning. I am getting up in exactly 5 hours and I'm barely sleepy. Go fig.
rolleye.gif

After working both jobs all of last week, on Friday, I drove straight from my main job to pick up my son at daycare, on the other side of town. We hit a massive traffic jam on the way home (wreck on the highway) so a normal 40-minute drive was somewhere around 100 minutes or so.

*Inhales deeply*

So then on the way home we stopped at the supermarket for some things. Got home. Put on Cartoon Channel for him. Cooked dinner. Ate dinner. Washed two loads of laundry. Played a LAN Game of UT (He's six...I let him frag me...he gets a kick out watching the giblets fly around...) Cleaned dinner dishes and went to bed. Got up Saturday, ate breakfast made him take a shower, shaved and then took a shower myself. Drove 30 minutes up to a large park with a public swimming pool. Spend about 4 hours there, trying to read my magazine whilst simultaneously keeping an eye on him in case he cracks his skull/punches another kid/tries to drown. Drove 30 minutes home. Put him in the shower, then took one myself. Cooked dinner. GF came over. Three of us had dinner. GF got a headache and went to bed, leaving me to clean everything. Amused son for another few hours, put him to bed went to bed mysefl.

Got up this morning, cooked BIG breakfast (Sunday tradition for me) GF works Sundays, so couldn't help me clean up.

She split. Shaveed and showered, then made son take shower. Went to see Spider Man (movie) it was cool. Drove home. Went to pool in my apartment complex (was closed yesterday.) Made hime shower. took one myself. Drove him home (30-minute drive in no traffic) Dropped him off. Came home (30 minutes back)

Did two loads of laundry. Ate leftover food from last night. Drank 4 beers. (Gotta get up in the morning, else I'd have continued!!!!) Folded and put away two loads of laundry. Played Max Payne for about two hours. Here I am.

*Exhales deeply*

Weekend? What is this "WEEKEND" you speak of?

I know what you mean, except more often I feel like "you blink, and your life is *poof* gone."

Um... sounds like you had a pretty good weekend. You want to hear mine?

Friday afternoon: finish classes, go out to frat house, drink beer, get laid.
Saturday: Sleep off hangover, wake up, shower, eat food, refuse to drink after friday nights shenanigans, watch a movie, hang out with people watchign movie (@ frat house)
Sunday: Study a bit, shower, start drinking, then now, post on AT.

Don't complain.

<< That's a lot of showers, you have one clean kid! >>

Hahahah! Yeah, I like to keep him clean. Making him shower a lot is kind of habit. Unfortunately, he still has the occasional nightime "accident" and also unfortunately, my 6-year old son has a bladder the size of a 55-gallon drum

so he's typically in the shower first thing in the morning anyway. Thank God he still sleeps on a rubber air mattress (Queen-size at that).

Alright then.

Friday afternoon: finish classes, go to my room, don't get laid, post on AT and sell some old games (see sig).
Saturday: Get up, shower. Spend whole day doing nothing because all of my friends are away for the weekend except for one. At night, drink beers with that one.
Sunday: Get up, shower. Don't have a hangover (I am immune to hangovers :D), study by myself all day while posting on AT somewhat.

Don't complain about him complaining.

Weekends do fly by, I hate it. Get back to work Monday, and it feels like I just left. Usually I race on Saturday nights, but we have had the last two weekends off, which SUCKS. So I basically did nothing all weekend except some homework, and I worked on the race car to get it ready for next weekend. At least I race the next two weeks in a row, I hate weekends when I don't race.

Oh, I should add that on Saturday night, when my GF came over after work, my son was taking a nap. I got some in my living room. :D It was one of those "clothes half on/half off" type quikies. The best kind. None of that 40-minutes worth of foreplay, um I mean CARRESSING and TALKING B.S. before-hand. ;) So, at least I got some...all 45-seconds of it, but at least I got some. :D

Friday: Come home from work at 5:15 pm, fall over on bed, sleep (note the lack of dinner).
Saturday: Some sort of breakfast, watch a bit of TV, play Wolfenstein and Jedi Knight II.
Sunday: Go to bed at 5 am, wake up at 11am, play Wolfenstein/JK II, install 2 new 80GB WD SE harddisks (the ones with 8MB cache ;) ) and a Promise controller, play more Wolfenstein, go to bed at 1 am.

Hmm, maybe I should have had dinner somewhere in there. Ah well, maybe next weekend.

How do you subsist on just breakfast? I need at least two meals a day; lunch and either dinner, or a "midnight snack" which is usually the equivalent of dinner, poundage-wise. It was great to see my son; he's at that impressionable age where my presence is more necessary than ever. But damn, I wish I was off tomorrow. :(

Simple: Gaming and heavy depressions, can supress a lot that way. Ate some candy bars to supress most of the hunger.
