Did the dishes a few days ago, and it worked fine. Just filled it with dirty dishes this morning, and not so much as a pulse when I hit the On button. Its not a fancy unit. I know there's power being applied to it, and hitting various buttons on the control panel does produce lights, but the unit won't turn on.

Not sure what the warranty is on it, bought it roughly late last June or early July. Not the best time for this.

Best guess on little information: door switch that makes it know that it's shut. IIRC from shopping for dishwashers a couple years ago, 1 year was the standard warranty.

Unfortunately, I do not have a DMM to test the ohms of the switch. However, I can say it makes a distinct clicking noise when depressed. No physical damage observed, burnt, broken, nothing like that.

Pushing the On button the Control Panel produces nothing but an extremely tiny green dot in the middle of the LED indicator. Normal is a bright green indicator.

As the Pizza said ... little info. I am going to guess a motor with dried up bearings, aka frozen & stalled pulling plenty of current & is why the LED is so dim. OR, could be a bad wire nut connection to the supply. But that suggests to me aluminum wiring which I have heard still happens even in this day & age.

Is this a cheap unit? Who installed it? Someone that knew what they were doing or ...

Its an Amana brand, from Home Depot, entry level. Pretty sure they knew what they were doing when they installed it.

Not sure what more information I can really give with the knowledge I have.

So that puts my assumptions to motor with frozen bearing or wire nuts not making a good connection. If you are not up to the task of digging into either, better make the call.
