Welcome to the TeAm Pheran 😀

It's great to have you onboard! 😀 Let us (me in particular) know if there is anything you need 😀

Thanks guys. I thought it was about time my new XP 1800+ box did some real work. 😀

I should be getting a dual processor P2/400 Linux server up and running soon that I hope to add to the effort.

PS: If Jessica Alba comes to see me (see this thread) I'm switching to whatever client she wants! 😉

Hmm, now I'm confused. I was just looking at the FAQ, which claims that a 1 GHz Athlon can do a WU in about 7 hours. However my Athlon XP 1800+ has been crunching away on my first WU now for 11 hr 36 min, and it's only 75% done! Admittedly I'm using the graphical client, and a good portion of the work was done last night when I hadn't yet turned on screen blank, but that still seems kind of excessive. Any thoughts, or should I just wait and see how the second WU goes now that I've fixed my screen blank setting?

Pheran whatever method you prefer is fine as long as you are crunching 🙂

Just to give you an idea of the difference, my XP 1800+ averages 3:13 per WU on a Soyo Dragon Plus FSB set at 143 w/512MB Crucial DDR Win 2K.

Sigh... now the SETI server is down and I can't upload my WU or get another one. Looks like I need to look into those queues.

Yep...and welcome! 🙂

The Queue's can save you alot of headaches...so jump on to one of them! 🙂

Cruncher lives! Yes, my new dual processor P2/400 Linux server is up and running... I named it cruncher in honor of SETI. 🙂
Two more CPUs join the fray.
