T1, are you running the GUI Client or the CLI Client? We like to recommend to our "rookies" that they switch from the pretty pictures of the GUI Client to the more efficient CLI Client. If you need any help setting up SETI on your computer be sure to stop by the DC Forum and just ask. :D

I would also advise switching to the CLI The_One. It really speeds up your time!! If you need help you can PM me, I'll be glad to help out any new rookies:p
