A couple of pics I snapped on vacation.

They are bigger than 1600x1200, so if you have an issue with that, dont click on them. Also the obligatory dial-up warning.

It's south of Cancun on the mainland west of Cozumel.

ElFenix, the problem with August is it's hotter than Hades and it's the middle of hurricane season.

Ohhhh about 45 minutes (by car) south of Cancun airport.

Or about 25 minutes if you have the taxi driver we had. ;)

I always thought Cozumel was farther way from the mainland, but we could see it (a little) from the beach. Got a pic if you want one :)

That's ok, I don't need one. I was just there in June. Unless you're going for scuba, Cozumel sucks. By the way, which resort did you stay at?

what type of stuff is there to do around there? from the looks of the beach, it doesn't look that nice. looks kinda dirty or trashy from the pics, and whats up with all that seaweed on the beach?

water looks beautiful though.

Sluggo,

Where did you stay? We went to the Riu Yucatan for a week in early July. It was crazy hot, but we LOVED that area. Good food, less "touristy" than Cancun, extremely friendly people, etc. Highly recommended!
